Sometimes, there’s nothing better than wearing your most comfortable jeans and a slouchy t shirt. Throw on a pair of Havaianas and you’re good to go, from the sofa to the pub. That said, it’s not a terribly glamorous look is it? This is where some statement jewellery and a pair of black sunglasses come in handy!
My Nicole Farhi sunnies (thank goodness the label was saved from administration) are totally oversized but totally amazing. They are so easy to wear and tap into the current obsession with cat’s eye styles. I got them a couple of years ago at Harvey Nichols Edinburgh when Nicole Farhi herself was in store to present her collection. How could I not take home a souvenir?

The leather rope is soft (don’t you hate a great looking necklace that irritates your skin?) and the beads are eye catching without jangling around everywhere. It’s a statement piece but relaxed – perfect for a casual summer’s day.
