London Fashion Week: Day 1 AW13

Day 1 of fashion week was spent at Freemasons Hall for Fashion Scout and (after a lot of waiting around, as with all fashion events) it was a great success! My favourite shows were Rohmir, Lug von Siga and Timur Kim.

Rohmir was full of texture, inspired by a cold, snowy Alpine retreat where I could quite fancy going for a week (especially with a wardrobe like that), while at Lug von Siga, things were much more minimalistic – almost futuristic – with a palette of black and white punctuated with pops of pink and shiny metallics. Timur Kim was much more laid back; beautiful silk print dresses in soft shades of aqua, blue and mauve (sounds awful, looked lovely) were styled with fresh hair which fell down the models’ backs in soft waves. It was part 70s, part Little House on the Prairie.

Overall, a great first day of LFW – let’s see what tomorrow brings!
