Thakoon AW14. I adore the use of colour in his collection, shown at New York Fashion Week on Sunday. The bright pops of colour (cobalt, crimson, fuchsia, tangerine) were rich and elegant and their brilliance was further enhanced by the neutral tones of midnight, slate grey, camel, oatmeal and aubergine. Each piece was interesting yet wearable; dresses and skirts and trousers and coats, with some positively snugly knits to boot, slung over shoulders with a very new design aesthetic – think capes for luxe-grunge types. The Thakoon girl is rockin’ it next season.
