I continue to be hit by waves of depression following my return from Downunder, so I’ve partaken in a touch of retail therapy to ease the pain (you can blame Beauty Blogging Blonde for this), which inevitably developed into serious investigation of the spring collections online.
One collection I adore is Mint Velvet, whose new collection is very fresh, very modern and yet quite timeless in design. Mint Velvet is a great brand, one that delivers excellent quality at affordable prices, but more importantly, it’s a brand that knows its style and personality and sticks to it. This season, it’s all about the simple silhouettes and almost tribal prints at Mint Velvet and I am totally sold! This print jacket is perfect for lunch with the girls, worn simply with blue jeans and nude suede courts (but would work equally as well with high waisted tuxedo trousers and a crisp white shirt for the office), while the black jumpsuit is sophisticated yet subtly sexy – I’d wear it with killer heels, bold, geometric cuffs and a straight, sleek ponytail for dinner with Mr Man. I also really, really want the black slip dress.
