The Luminary Series No 2 reveal – The Dalmore’s limited edition whisky

On Thursday Kris and I went along to V&A Dundee for the reveal of the Luminary Series No 2 by The Dalmore which was created by Melodie Leung, Director at Zaha Hadid Architects in partnership with Gregg Glass, Master Whisky Maker and Richard Paterson OBE, Master Distiller. 🥃

The Luminary Series is a three-part collection of limited-edition whiskies conceived and created by masters from the worlds of whisky and architectural design – so where better to host the unveiling of the 2024 Edition than at Scotland’s famous museum of design?

The evening started with whisky cocktails by The Dalmore – the Honeyed Chestnut Old Fashioned was sublime, the flavour, fragrance and taste all lending themselves to an unforgettable experience – and was followed by speeches, including a heartfelt one by Melodie herself, culminating in a dramatic reveal of the sculpture and Luminary No 2 bottle, which will eventually be sold at auction.

It was an evening that brought together a local and international crowd of whisky enthusiasts, makers, designers, and architects and it was a pleasure to have been invited along to be part of the spectacular event that fused flavour, creativity and music with Scotland’s very own heritage. Oh, and Scotland’s predictably windy weather.

Thank you to V&A Dundee for hosting us for the evening.

Please drink responsibly.
