Today is the launch of Fashion Targets Friday, the latest initiative from the UK’s leading charity fashion campaign, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. Fashion Targets Friday takes place this week (26 April) and has been developed in order to raise funds for breast cancer in a fun, fashion focused way.
The uber stylish Rosie Fortescue (of Made in Chelsea fame) is the Ambassador for Fashion Targets Friday and is encouraging people to get involved by holding fashionable fundraising events and shopping the Fashion Targets Friday clothing range by high street stores such as River Island, Coast, Topshop, Warehouse and Debenhams.
Rosie says, “I love fashion so what better was to help all the families affected by breast cancer than holding a stylish fundraising event. Fashion Targets Friday is the perfect way to raise money for this incredible cause – whether you wear your support with a non-uniform day at school or style up your student union with a fashion party – the money you raise will help to stop women dying from breast cancer.”
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in the UK – one in eight women will be diagnosed in their lifetime. It’s a scary thought, but Fashion Targets Friday is about being upbeat and having fun while fundraising for Breakthrough Breast Cancer in order to support research efforts that help beat the disease.
Get involved this Friday by hosting a fashion themed party (think the Flapper era, Sex and the City or celebrity style as inspiration) or having a dress down day in the office. Organise some stylish games or a fashionable raffle to raise even more funds! If you really can’t get heavily involved in Fashion Targets Friday, then log on to the sites below and buy one of these gorgeous Fashion Targets Friday dresses for summer – you’ll not only look pretty, you’ll feel good knowing that some of your money has gone to charity to support breast cancer research and, in turn, might save a life.
