The Golden Hour

Judging by the turn of weather on Monday, it’s clear that summer is well and truly over. The high temperatures of last week were a lovely surprise, but it’s time to accept the appearance of our winter coats once more. That said – when the weather is nice – this time of year is beautiful; the low sun gives everything a gorgeous, golden glow. The leaves turn from luscious green to a bright but warm yellow, before curling under at the corners as they form a crisp, autumnal confetti in every hue from cinnamon brown to rust and ruby. Sadly, the rain came on Monday and it didn’t stop for three days straight; I was delighted to see the sun shining brightly in a clear blue sky again on Thursday morning – but how long will it last? This is Scotland, so no one really knows… But, daydreamers, let’s enjoy the golden hour while it lasts.

      Hi Michelle
Thanks for such lovely words! I’ve never done denim and burgandy before – you do it very well, but then you are gorgeous and look good in everything!
The boots are a great bargain but not entirely comfy…. the hat is amazing isn’t it? You should definitely get it.
