Harvey Nichols Edinburgh and Nails Inc have teamed up to create a limited edition polish to celebrate the luxury department store’s 10th birthday this month.
The polish is a basically a black base with coloured glitter through it (predominately red), creating a textured effect on the nail (a little hard to remove, but totally worth it), which is great for keeping in with the current trend for 3D nails – without subjecting yourself to any injuries.
What strikes me about this polish is that there is something a special about this polish. Firstly, who can resist that crystal cap? Secondly, I usually find that glitter equals glam and dark equals goth – but, somehow, the limited edition Harvey Nicks polish works the opposite way; the glamour comes from the rich, dark colour and the gothic romance is in the glitter.
Whichever way you look at it, it’s the perfect nail polish to wear for the month of October – lots of Halloween parties and, of course, Harvey Nichols Edinburgh’s 10th birthday party next week!
