The full skirt has been on our fashion radar for a while now and the recent couture shows suggest it’s sticking around for a bit longer (pardon the pun). Full skirts were seen at two of my favourite designer shows, Giambattista Valli and Christian Dior, where Raf Simons took the silhouette to a whole new level with tiny uppers to emphasise voluminous lowers halves. Leandra Medine of The Man Repeller put it perfectly on Instagram: “Sir Mix a Lot has had it right all along: baby does got back.”
A large yet chic bottom half is on trend? That’s what I like to hear!
