As the unpredictable Scottish weather takes a turn towards spring temperatures, the icy breath of winter no longer sends a chill down our backs. As I stepped out of the house this morning at 8am, I felt confused; it was warm enough for spring layering but still as dark as the middle of the night. Of course, I chose to wear black – hey, it’s Monday – but I can’t help but feel excited about spring, and all that it has to offer; light fabrics, fresh colours and the anticipation of a long summer filled with fun. However, I fear we have still to see the worst of winter (and it would look odd wearing a spring dress in January!) and so, until it’s time to fully trust in the weather, I’ll just dream of pretty dresses worn with bohemian 70s details and minimal make up.
