Got It Covered

In recent years M&S has upped the fashion ante with stylish collections including Autograph, Limited Edition, Best of British and Speziale. This winter, our good old high street store has excelled with an extensive range of fashion-forward winter coats.

As we all know, the winter coat is one of AW14-15’s hottest buys this season. Thanks to the pink coat trend (which refuses to be hustled out of the limelight), outwear has become as important as the outfit you choose, if not more so. It’s getting to a point where we need (yes, need) a coat for every occasion, from work to lunch dates and parties. Yes, you could opt for one great statement coat that says it all but this season, M&S has every possible outing covered – so why choose just one?

My favourites? The good cuts and the neutral colours. I was in the Dundee store last week and was very tempted by this classic navy cocoon coat, just perfect for the office. I was also tempted by this grey wool blend (to die for) which – thanks to the muted colour and simple style – will stand the test of time, while this simple black wrap is a chic but cosy wardrobe staple that would work perfectly with black skinny jeans and OTK boots. In addition to the timeless coats on offer this season, M&S has thrown in a whole heap of trend-focussed pieces including the above blanket coat (so chic) and the below faux fur (dying to be worn with slicked back hair and a plum lip).

Every single one of the coats in this post are on my Christmas wish list this year, but it really is a hard life: I just don’t know which to choose.

But the northface jacket still looks cute and although it was $80 it is very warm and I love it the sleeves are too long for me even with an xs it’s a little big so makesure to pick a size that won’t swallow you haha goodluck
