Mums tend to spoil their daughers, and around three months ago mine treated me to the Make Up Eraser. I was skeptical at first – a cloth to remove your make up? Groundbreaking, as Miranda Priestly would say. However, I confess that I love the Make Up Eraser – I’ve been using it ever since mum gave it to me. Gone are the days of cotton pads and various products that often irritate my eyes – all I need now is some warm water and my Eraser and I’m fresh as a daisy.
The website explains that the Make Up Eraser is made from a specially knitted polyester/silk fibre which is many times finer than human hair, so when wet the eraser creates a hydro-mechanical process that breaks the surface tension of the oils that bond make up to the skin.
The super cute pink cloth works by drenching it in warm water and wiping your make up gently away – even mascara. My Chanel mascara is pretty heavy duty, so leaves frighteningly dark black smudges all over the pretty pink cloth – I take this as a good sign that it’s removing all traces of the product! My face make up comes off easily, it’s no hassle for travelling, and there’s no need for harsh scrubbing for those stubborn products such as eyeliner or brow wax. It’s really easy, really gentle and really works.
