The Notebook

If you know me, you’ll know that I love notebooks. I have them everywhere. A floral Cath Kidston notebook balances precariously on my dressing table beneath a black mock croc lined book and a bronze Mulberry notepad;  mini notepads are scattered around the kitchen; a leather bound notepad, a gift from my sister-in-law which is years old, is tucked neatly on a shelf in the guest room, and I have at least one in every handbag. I start one off, jotting down inspirational thoughts and ideas, but before long I’ve moved on to the next notebook, writing a brief memoir of my 24 hours in Paris last October or my first London Fashion week, or noting down personality traits of the character in my totally under-developed novel. I’m drawn in my the fresh note paper, the leather bindings, the shiny ribbon page markers.
The latest one to catch my greedy eye is this red canvas beauty by Lanvin. The simple colourways, hardback cover and blank white paper make this a very chic and elegant notebook. The signature Lanvin grosgrain ribbon sets the red cover off nicely, while the page marker reminds me of the practical, usefulness of the lovely notebook. It will make for a very stylish way to keep track of my never ending “to do” list and will brighten up my desk in an instant.

Lanvin Notebook, £40 at Net-a-Porter.
