The minute I saw this skirt on Karina (@styleidealist on Instagram) I knew I had to try it on – a high, elasticated waist, 100% viscose, mid-length, and – the cherry on the cake – it was in the sale. I ordered it immediately, tried it on a few days later, and instantly fell in love. It definitely feels like a summer skirt, but it’s a versatile one – easily styled with trainers and knitwear for the weekend, or with (comfy) heels and a blazer for work.
I love it when you find something that you know will work hard for you, which is easier now that we’ve made a move towards less formal dressing for the office (thanks to hybrid working). I know I’ll still love this skirt next year because it’s such a timeless silhouette and print and, although I’m not advocating fast fashion, the skirt is reduced down to £13. If you find something you love and you know you’ll wear on repeat year after year, how can you resist?
