I am obsessing over the AW12 collection by Spanish label, Bimba & Lola right now. The collection is a covetable combination of modern silhouettes and easy-to-wear colours and prints, softened by feminine detailing such as satin and fur, pretty prints and delicate footwear. The cut of the garments is simple (reminiscent of Raf Simons for Jil Sander and the Prada and Miu Miu AW12 collections), leaving the 70s prints and retro colour palettes to do the talking.
I’ve picked out some of my favourite looks from the Bimba & Lola collection this season, but honestly, there isn’t a single piece I don’t like. It’s a very contemporary, wearable collection which is comfortable without compromising on style. Bimba & Lola’s AW12 collection is one that will look equally as good in a corporate office environment as it would on a fashion-savvy front row. What’s more is, the newly opened London store (their second in London) is a fine excuse to go shopping.
