I repeatedly find myself drawn to the colour blue and when I saw this silk dress I fell head over heels immediately. Not only is the colour sublime, but the pretty cornflower print is the stuff summer dreams are made of. It’s such an unfussy style too – the simplicity of the shape, the mid length, and the little sleeve all make this a wear-anywhere dress.
That’s what I love about LK Bennett, their ability to design clothes that are versatile and timeless. Obviously, they’re not cheap – but if you keep an eye on your favourite pieces then you can get a great deal in their sale, because these are clothes that will last a lifetime if you look after them well.
Anyway, I wore it last weekend for a celebration family barbecue but it would work equally as well for a day at the races or perhaps a late summer wedding.
